The Superga Story
It's hard to believe that Superga is almost 100 years old. Born in Turin in 1911 the Superga factory, under the stewardship of Walter Martiny, started to produce shoes with vulcanized rubber soles and the Classic Superga 2750 Heritage style was born!
After the war, Superga reopened with a new mission, a mission to bring high quality footwear to the people of Italy. Having established the 2750 as the People's Shoe of Italy, Superga increased it's product line and added technical sport shoes, the City collection, Country rubber rain and outerwear boots.
The 2750 has been an icon from the beginning. Long a favorite for taking Italians from the city to the beach on weekends, it is easy to wear and can be dressed up or dressed down. And just like your favorite jeans can be washed to create your own
vintage look.
The 2750's low cut style has an open lower cut ankle with finished inseams inside the shoe. Designed to perfectly complement the foot, it is an elegant sneaker that looks relaxed and well dressed whether worn at the beach or at the office. Superga celebrates the fun lifestyle of the 2750 by offering a wide range of colors, fabrics, and prints each season for women, men and children.

About the Co-Creative Directors
After inking a deal for the exclusive North American license of Italian sneaker brand Superga, Steve Madden tapped Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen as co-creative directors for the brand. In their role, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are responsible for developing all creative and marketing initiatives for the brand, in addition to overseeing retail lines of distribution.
The direction for Superga is to bring a fresh perspective to this iconic brand while honoring it's legacy of timeless design. Ashley and Mary-Kate have taken Superga's luxe roots to the next level with The Row for Superga styles presented in Spring 2012. The collaborative collection consists of the Superga classic 2750 in luxurious fabrications like Italian Linen and Cashmere. The Row for Superga is a unique collaboration that showcases each brand's dedication to classic design, effortless luxury and exceptional quality.
